Zoom! Teeth Whitening
Your smile is important. It’s one of the first things you notice when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful – it can help you feel better about yourself and make a memorable impression.
Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine or smoking.

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers have increasingly become a popular cosmetic dental procedure. Straight and white teeth are perceived as healthy teeth.
It’s well known that a nice smile gives you that edge!
What are they?
Porcelain Veneers are custom made thin porcelain shells, or “veneers”, that are bonded to front surfaces of teeth to correct unsightly, misaligned, misshapen, discoloured, gaps and chipped teeth. Porcelain veneers are excellent in creating the illusion of the perfect smile.
They can correct shape, color and orientation of teeth.
What is the Procedure
The procedure usually takes only 2 appointments.
First appointment
1. The teeth are selected to have a porcelain veneer, are shaped on the front surface to make room for the veneer.
2. A very accurate impression (or mould) is made of your prepared teeth. This impression is used by the dental technician to form a model to which they can create your custom veneers for your teeth.
3. At the end of the appointment, temporary veneers are placed onto your teeth so that you do not walk around with shaped teeth.
The next appointment is usually 10 days to 2 weeks later. Between the first and second appointments, you may feel some slight sensitivity, which is normal, but temporary.
Second appointment
The temporary veneers are removed from your teeth, the teeth are cleaned, and your new veneers are tried in. Once you have a look, you can ask for any changes or modifications. Because these become YOUR new teeth, we believe that ultimately YOU must be happy with the cosmetic result. If you are not, then we can always send back your veneers to the technician and the appropriate changes can be made. Its only when YOU are happy with the veneers do we permanently bond them onto your teeth.
Simply with 2 appointments, you can have that a brighter, whiter and more confident smile. Each and every person is unique, and after consultation with Dr Tosar, where your needs and wants are discussed, the right approach will be taken to achieve your desired result
Porcelain Crowns and Bridges
Crowns and bridges are artificial coverings over teeth used to restore broken, weakened, non-aesthetic or missing teeth. It generally takes 2 appointments for this process.
A CROWN is one “cap” over an existing tooth. A crown is required to restore function or aesthetics or both! With a crown you may transform a weakened non-aesthetic tooth to a beautiful strong tooth!
A BRIDGE is used when one or more teeth are missing. Simply it’s placing a crown on 2 or more teeth joined together to close the gaps. This gives the illusion of “no gaps”.
Procedure
Tooth preparation
Shaving the tooth in an appropriate manner to facilitate the construction and insertion of a crown or bridge.
Impression
Taking an impression with an accurate material to which the dental technician can fabricate the crown.
Temporary Crown or Bridge
A temporary crown or bridge will be made in most cases to sit in place of the permanent crown or bridge until the crown is made by the technician. The permanent crown usually will be inserted 7-10 days later.
Models
The technician creates a model to which the crown or bridge will be customized.
Crown Fabrication completed by technician
The crown is completed and sent back to the dentist 7-10 days later.
Final Insertion
The crown or bridge is inserted onto the teeth permanently with a special cement.
